I spent the weekend viewing some of the public media 2019 Edward R. Murrow Awardees, truly impressive! It is so great to see public media entities garnering so many awards. Congrats to WLRN in Miami for winning the most, 11 awards!!
In reviewing the list, everyone one of them is worth taking a weekend to watch great public media news, storytelling and engagement. Of course, I gravitated to those stories and coverage that touched upon Latino news and issues. And as I viewed these journalistic works, I took the time to leave a congratulatory comment note because I think it’s important to let them know, we appreciate their work!
The CPB Press Release provides the full list of the public media entities and below, if you’re interested in the Latino-focused coverage, I am providing herein some of those that resonated with me the most.
